Custom metal fabrication and products
Members of a metal structure are joined in two basic ways, and we use each according to what the structure requires. Welding produces rigid, monolithic and permanent joints — the parts fuse into a single element and such a joint is not taken apart. Bolted connections produce demountable joints, so the structure can be erected on site and later dismantled, relocated or extended.
Welding is carried out by the MAG process (ISO 4063: 135) to a welding procedure qualification (WPQR) verified by TUV Thuringen. The procedure is qualified for group 1 steels with a yield point up to 355 MPa and parent material thicknesses from 6 to 24 mm.
For bolted joints we set out the exact hole patterns already at the laser cutting stage, which on site means holes line up at the first attempt and nothing has to be drilled out on the scaffold.
